For Schools
Animal Handling Sessions:
In a typical 60 minute session pupils will have the chance to hold giant cockroaches and snails, stroke a lizard and a python, and see a tarantula and scorpion at close-quarters.They will hear about the animals' biology and lives in the wild - in a safe, fun and memorable format.
Sessions can be arranged to emphasise certain topics, appropriate to 5-14 National Guidelines topics (eg. minibeasts, rainforests, conservation).

Art Sessions:
In these new sessions, pupils have the chance to draw a selection of the most suitable animals, displayed on their table in transparent containers. This offers a prolonged view of the animal, allowing better study of form and movement, and the artwork forms a neat aide-memoire!

Activity Sheet Sessions:
In these new sessions, pupils work through a sheet of carefully devised questions, and sketch the animals, as they are displayed on tables in front of them in transparent containers. This combination of observation and tasks encourages the children to investigate the live animals in a relevant, structured format.

These work best with children in their normal classes, for handling there is a maximum audience size of 35 people.
